Apple iOS 16.4 Released With New Emojis, Safari Web Push Notifications, and More : How to Install
Good news for iPhone users, Cupertino-based tech giant Apple has finally released the fourth major update of iOS 16 operating system – iOS 16.4, which includes new features like new emojis, web push notifications and sound isolation. for mobile phone calls and much more.
iOS 16.4 comes two months after the release of iOS 16.3. An update that added security keys to Apple ID. With the new iOS 16.4 update, users will get new emoticons like shaking face, long-awaited pink heart, two pushing hands, Wi-Fi symbol and others.
It also includes Safari web notifications for websites added to the home screen, speech isolation for clear cell phone calls, the return of the Apple Books page turn animation, updates to Podcasts, a new HomeKit architecture, and a host of other minor changes and improvements.
A new feature, the noise isolation feature for mobile phone calls, prioritizes the users’ voice and reduces environmental noise around them. The feature was previously available for FaceTime calls and other Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) applications, but not for mobile phones.
To use this feature, users need to open Control Center during a call, tap Microphone Mode, and then select Sound Isolation from the list. With the new update, the company also allows iOS developers to send users a notification (with permission) when a user has pinned a web app to the home screen.
This update includes the following bug fixes:
– Fixes a problem where children’s purchase requests may not appear on the parent’s device
– Fixes issues where Matter compatible thermostats may become unresponsive when connected to Apple Home
– Crash Detection optimizations in iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models
How to install
– Users can install iOS 16.4 update via Wi-Fi network or download and install them via 5G network.
– To download and install iOS 16.4, go to Settings > General > Software Update and enable automatic updates
– Then click “Install Now” to update your iPhone to iOS 16.4.
– Make sure your iPhone is connected to a Wi-Fi or 5G network to charge it quickly.
– Also, make sure your iPhone battery has at least 50% before starting the software update.
